1.1. Betway Poker is operated on the Microgaming Poker Network platform, owned by Microgaming Malta Limited. Microgaming Malta is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under licence number 000-039073-R-319434-005 and outside of Great Britain by the Malta Gaming Authority, under Class 4 licence number MGA/CL4/266/2006 (the “Poker Platform”), which authorise it to manage and host online gambling platforms. Betway Poker players play against each other and other players registered with the Platform Provider.
1.2. These Rules are in addition to Betway’s general Terms and Conditions. Any capitalized terms not defined herein take their meaning from Betway’s General Terms and Conditions.
2.1. You hereby acknowledge that if you play for real money, a small charge, which is called ‘rake’ is taken from each pot by the Poker Platform. The Poker Platform only charges rake if a flop is dealt in Texas or Omaha, a fourth card is dealt in 7-stud or a draw is made in 5-Draw and 2-7 Triple Draw. Only players who are dealt cards in a hand are counted as being seated.
2.2. Rake on the Poker Platform varies depending on the currency of the game you are playing in:

3.1. Customers are prohibited from colluding or cooperating with other players, whether such cooperation is based on explicit or implied agreement, in order to put other players in a worse position in a game, whether the cooperation effectively or only theoretically worsens a player position. Accordingly, Customers must:
3.2 If a violation of these rules is suspected, a player’s account may be locked in order to allow for an efficient and effective investigation of the alleged violation. The duration of the lock will be no longer than is reasonably required to complete the investigation. For the duration of the lock, login, gameplay and/or the withdrawal of deposited funds may not be possible.
3.3 Penalties for violation of the rules will take into account all relevant information and the exact circumstances of the violation, and may include any combination of the following:
3.4. Funds seized in accordance with these rules will be placed into a network Game Integrity Fund. The aim of the Game Integrity Fund is to fairly compensate victims of cheating and unethical behaviour, by refunding losses that can be attributed it. At Betway’s sole discretion this may include (for example):
Betway will always aim to return players affected by cheating to the state that they would be in had the cheating not occurred.
3.5 Betway reserves the right to determine whether or not a violation of these rules has occurred. Betway’s decision is final.
4.1. Sharing an account with another person or persons is prohibited.
5.1. It is strictly prohibited for Customers to play poker on behalf of or in the financial interest of another person, whether employed by them or not. This includes, but is not limited to, being funded by an employer/contractor or playing according to a strategy provided by an employer/contractor.
6.1. It is prohibited to use any artificial intelligence software or bots. 'Bots' are software programs or other devices, whether developed privately or commercially, which enable the play of poker with little or no human intervention, by using certain rules or artificial intelligence to make gameplay decisions.
6.2. We will actively search for any bots or artificial intelligence software on the Customer's device and the Customer hereby agrees to not interfere with any of the detection mechanisms. This term applies irrespective of whether the bot or artificial intelligence software is effective.
7.1. Software which performs any of the following activities is prohibited:
8.1. It is forbidden to utilise datamining for any purpose, whether the data was obtained by the Customer or any other person. It is also prohibited to use any software for the purpose of datamining. 'Datamining' means the gathering of player information from the Software beyond which the player has observed from their own play.
8.2. It is forbidden to share any gathered Customer data with other persons, even if gathered legitimately.
9.1. ‘Angleshooting’ is the term used to describe activities that are designed to give a Customer an unfair advantage, but which may be allowed under a strict interpretation of the Rules or due to a loophole or unintended Software characteristics. This rule is intended to be a ‘catch all’ for unethical play which is not specifically prohibited but which would be considered unethical and unfair by the vast majority of the poker playing community.
9.2. Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage over other players, whether specifically prohibited by the rules or not, is prohibited.
10.1. Betway considers any Collusion, Account Sharing, Gold Farming, use of Bots or artificial intelligence, Prohibited Software, Datamining and Angleshooting as cheating. Betway takes cheating very seriously and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend your account (in accordance with section 16.3.2 of the Betway Terms & Conditions) and withhold all or part of the balance or recover from your account deposits, pay outs, bonuses, or winnings any amounts found to be attributable to any of these practices account (in accordance with section 16.3.3 of the Betway Terms & Conditions). In such circumstances, your details will be provided to the applicable law enforcement authorities and regulatory bodies.
